The Ultrasound Used Equipment Checklist
On September 8th 2023, AXREM, BMUS, SCoR and IPEM collaboratively launched new guidelines for buying pre-owned ultrasound equipment : The Ultrasound Used Equipment Checklist .
All vendors of refurbished or pre-owned ultrasound equipment should complete the checklists in order to provide confidence to purchasers that reasonable governance procedures have been followed. Modality meets the criteria set and have done for over a decade, through its ISO 13485 accreditation. In fact, Modality exceeds the requirements suggested, which can be seen through high customer satisfaction ratings and testimonials.
The document is split into three checklists:
1. Ultrasound probes checklist. Probes have been separated in the checklist from the rest of the imaging system because they are the most common point of failure and are replaceable without any changes required to the ultrasound system.
2. Ultrasound system checklist
3. Post sales support checklist
